Join our driver networkWhy drivers choose to work with us
We started in 2021 with a simple idea: be the delivery partner we'd want to work with ourselves. Here's what that means in practice.
Clear, fair earnings
£137.70 per day, with van, fuel and insurance included. Higher day rates in peak periods like Christmas.
You choose your working days
Tell us when you're available and we'll plan your routes around it.
Safety comes first
Technology and guidance that help keep you and everyone on the road safe.
Support when you need it
Our operations support is a call away if something comes up on the road.
Vehicles provided
Collect a well-maintained van from our Swindon depot. No vehicle costs to worry about.
Routes shared in advance
Route details are sent ahead of time so you know what to expect.
Safety isn't a box we tick. It's how we work.
Delivery driving is demanding. The best way to look after the people on our routes is to take safety seriously from day one, so we've invested in technology that goes well beyond the basics.
Smart safety technology
Software that gives clear insight into road safety, helping us spot risks early, before they become incidents.
Honest, helpful feedback
Drivers can see their own safety insights, and our operations support is there to talk through anything that would make the road safer.
Active risk management
We review incidents and near-misses and put changes in place so they don't happen again.
Real results
This approach has significantly reduced our incident rate by 60% YoY
Fewer incidents means less stress, fewer disruptions and a safer working day for you. It also makes us a delivery partner that retailers trust, which supports a steady flow of work.

Frequently asked questions
Am I employed by Piranha Parcels?
No. Drivers work with us as self-employed contractors, with responsibility for their own tax and National Insurance.
What do I need to get started?
A full UK driving licence, the right to work in the UK, a year of driving experience and a clean DBS record.
Do I need my own van?
No. We provide the vehicle, fuel and insurance, all included in your day rate.
Can I choose which days I work?
Yes. You let us know your availability and we plan routes around it. Once your days are agreed, we ask that you stick to them, as it lets us plan reliably.
Can I send someone else instead of me?
Only another driver already approved and onboarded through our network, as the retailers we work with require all drivers to be approved before making deliveries.
Can I take time off?
You choose when you're available. Let us know in advance so we can plan routes. Time off is unpaid, as with any self-employed work.
How often am I paid?
Weekly, based on the days you've worked.
Why do you use safety technology?
It helps us spot risks early and share useful feedback with drivers. It's part of how we keep everyone safe.
What does a typical day look like?
Meet at the yard in the morning to collect the van. Log in to see the route for the day, before heading to the depot to collect your parcels. Once loaded, you're off out on deliveries. Once all your deliveries are complete, you will be heading back to debreif and return the van.
